It’s Our Time to Shine
In this time of uncertainty in so many areas of our lives, we may be tempted to fear, worry, panic and fret but instead, as Christians this should be our finest hour. We should be the exception to the fear that seems to be overtaking the general population of planet earth. Here are some reminders of God’s promises to His children.
In Psalm 37:1-10 we are told to fret not, trust in the Lord, delight in the Lord, commit our ways to the Lord, be still before Him, wait patiently for Him, fret not, refrain from anger and once again in verse 8, fret not. Child of God, He will not forsake His children. Please remember that we are not promised to be spared the calamity that is so prevalent in our world today, but He has promised to be with us and guide us and protect us if we will only trust Him and quit trying to do everything in our own power.
God fully expects us to be responsible, accountable, sensible and conscientious for our actions and how we live our lives each day and then He promises to give us His best when we leave the final outcome to Him. He wants us to be good stewards of our money and our time and He has promised to reward us in His own time and in His own way.
We should spend each and every day of our lives concentrating on living our lives to do everything we can to spread the gospel to those around us. Sometimes, we may even have to use words. Many times those around us only see our actions. Do they see us worried, fearful, stressed out, complaining or angry or do they see us loving, kind, thankful and cheerful?
God wants us to be witnesses for Him in everything we do and everywhere we go. That sounds like a major task but if Jesus is our Lord and Savior, how can we not?
